Welcome to the Special Education Services for Payette School District. Our program goals, curriculum and materials are developmentally appropriate and focused towards meeting the individual needs of students.
If you know of a child who is 3 – 5 years of age who may have individual needs that result from disabilities or developmental delays, and who is not enrolled in a school special education program, please contact Brittany Waggoner, Special Education Coordinator or Mandy Coen, Special Education Administrative Assistant at (208) 642-4138. These children may have significant difficulty walking, talking, hearing, or learning, or may display behaviors that appear significantly different from other children their age.
Children living in the Payette School District between the ages of 3 and 5 are encouraged to go through a screening process. The screening is to find children who may have a developmental delay, however, the screening is open to any child. They must be 3 prior to the screening date and PSD does not screen children that are 5 and eligible for kindergarten. An appointment is required. All screenings will be held at Payette Primary School from 8:30-12:00 on the below dates. Please call the Payette Education Center at (208) 642-4138 to schedule your child’s appointment, or if you have any questions.
